Good 'ole days!

I had the pleasure of returning to my primary school today to coach rugby. Was weird to walk around the place - talk about being carried back in time! Scarily, not much had changed in 14 years. I was greeted by two teachers who had taught me, i noticed the staff room hadn't changed at all - it had the same chairs and carpet (I remember this because we used to watch videos in there and the carpet was made of horse hair or something and was very uncomfortable!), the tiles along the corridor were the same (i remember the games we used to play along them - something along the lines of only walking on the blue tiles if you were a boy! Of course you were considered feminine if you walked on the white tiles!).

It really was like a time warp, the only difference was that it all felt a little bit smaller than how I'd remembered it! I didn't quite get round all the school but i will do a little more exploring next week!

Early Start

Had a go at a leg of the Belfast Marathon relay yesterday. Last week i had volunteered to do a leg for Rachel. Little did i know at that time that i would have to run at 9:00 in the morning.

I had the first 6 mile leg and had the pleasure of Dave Dunlop's company along the way. Was good craic taking part in the big event - So much easier to run with a crowd that size around you than it is around the co. Down Drumlins on your own! I got done in 49 minutes.
